夢や幻想、あるいは大いなる自然や野性の力は、古来より美術の表現を導いてきました。本展では、理性の彼方にある人間の無意識や直感と関わる近現代の美術を、当館と群馬県立近代美術館、足利市立美術館の浅川コレクションそして個人コレクションの作品により紹介するものです。
Dreams and fantasies, or the power of nature and wildness, have guided artistic expression since ancient times. This exhibition introduces modern and contemporary art that is connected to the human unconscious and intuition that lie beyond reason, through works from our museum, the Museum of Modern Art, Gunma, the Asakawa Collection of the Ashikaga City Museum of Art, and private collections.
